Track Name: There She Stood
There She Stood

There she stood, the colour of this song I once knew,
but I couldn’t sing it to you, with the skill that she crooned it.
Hair like music - a chorus of curls, with endings so smooth,
and she moved with a certain truth.
Like each step was viewed beforehand,
marked and planned, the cars part as she plants a foot
but no one else looks, like only I notice her slide to the beat of street machinery.

She punctuates the rhythmic phrases,
each stride creating patterns of mechanical mayhem -
a city-scape orchestrated with the traffic as her own personal backing band.
Each movement conducted telepathically,
so what seemed like random scenes, are now enacted with harmony.
Seems the whole city knows her song, and only exists to play along.

She punctuates the rhythmic phrases of a city orchestrated
She dances through the breaks and jams with the traffic as her backing band

And she goes...

And I’m hooked by that chorus, exuded sweet from pores -
I’m falling for the beat of her feet on floor.
And I’m torn, between stopping traffic just to see her pause, or
trying to score it down, notate the route she takes,
each placement she makes with toes on pavement all slow and graceful;
but steady, un-phased by the eddies and flows,
of pedestrian or motorist. She just steps in focus.
Well-versed at traversing this ocean of alloy-framed hearses,
turning each screaming behemoth, into ice-cream melodic versions.
Till the tarmac reverberates and shakes in time to each heart beat -
I can’t breath unless it’s syncopated, and inhale late on fourth.

She punctuates the rhythmic phrases of a city orchestrated
She dances through the breaks and jams with the traffic as her backing band

And she goes...
And there she stood coordinating all the cityscapes
And there she stood in orchestrated grace

I’m falling for the beat of her feet
But no one else looks, like only I see
Seems the whole city knows her song
But only exists to play along
And there she stood coordinating all the cityscapes
And there she stood in orchestrated grace
Track Name: I Want To See A World
I WANT TO SEE A WORLD

I want to see a world, where the walls don’t shout -
where disembodied mouths don’t sprout from posters,
trains of thought aren't derailed, by their Wall Street names,
and where incomes aren't bartered in their board room games.
I want to see a world where the lamp posts don’t stare -
where big brothers just a programme, not a way of life to swear to.
Where the neon’s dying flare lays the maze's secrets bare,
and all us guinea-pigs they're testing, can take rest and breaths of air.

I want to see a world where she waltzes and she whirls
Where she spins on sublime to her own triple time,
Free to move as the chorus unfurls
I want to see a world where waltzes and she whirls
To her own three-four - same beat as before, no more four-to-the-floor

I want to see a world where performers aren’t corporate -
where they're judged for what they’ve done, not the products they’ve endorsed.
Where evil ain’t rewarded for the children’s minds its caught,
with its advertising hoardings, and its cartoon style of drawing.
I want to see a world where a child ain’t bred to buy -
where his first words aren’t ‘gimme’ with the snatch reaction of magpies.
where he might decide to raise his eyes, from his PlaySatan's cartoon skies,
and the only names he needs on trainers, are possibly his own, that mum's sown inside.

I want to see a world where she waltzes and she whirls
Where she spins on sublime to her own triple time,
Free to move as the chorus unfurls
I want to see a world where waltzes and she whirls
To her own three-four - same beat as before no more four-to-the-floor

And she goes round
And she goes round
And she goes...

And she dances
Like this

To see a world where she waltzes and she whirls
Where she spins on sublime to her own triple time,
Free to move as the chorus unfurls
I want to see a world where she waltzes and she whirls
To her own three-four - same beat as before no more four-to-the-floor

I want to see a world but I'm probably already too late
We'll all be dead soon anyhow
That's fine - that's great

That's just fine - that's just great

I want to see a world where she waltzes and she whirls
Where she spins on sublime to her own triple time,
Free to move as the chorus unfurls
I want to see a world where she waltzes and she whirls
To her own three-four - same beat as before no more four-to-the-floor
I want to see a world but I'm probably already too late
That's just fine - that's just great
That's just fine - that's just...
Track Name: Bring On The Clowns
BRING ON THE CLOWNS

In the dark, in the dark and lonely night she sings to me
In between logical lines and tears the bars with her twisted symphony
And as she plays the minor chords she sharpens her claws
And readies them before melodies grave
She calls them out and lets the circus jam away

Bring on the clowns, bring on the clowns and say I’m not ok
Bring on the straight jackets and the novocaine
Your Bedlam mandate

Bring on the clowns, bring on the clowns and say I’m not ok
Bring on the straight jackets and the novocaine
Your Bedlam mandate

Softly now, softly now but louder still she whispers to me
In between logical lines still tearing bars with her ever-twisted symphony
And as she plays the minor chords she sharpens her claws
And readies them before melodies grave
She calls them out and lets the circus jam away

Don’t call me crazy

Bring on the, bring on the, bring on the, bring on the clowns x4
Track Name: Long Pig
LONGPIG

They’re here, I hear them
They’re marching through the streets, they're getting nearer
Get out, don’t hang about
You don’t want to see what they will do
They’re dead, they’re brown bread
They've all been swallowed up and ate alive
They've croaked; they've been smoked
I know it, I saw it with my eyes

Run away, don’t hide, they’ll catch you -
no matter where lie, they’ll spy you, with their beady little eyes.
Pry you from your spot, tie you in a pot, fry you up and eat you,
and leave your bones to rot.
Run away, don’t hide, they’ll catch you -
don’t try and hold the fort, they’ll be banging at your door.
Your windows are all boarded, you’ll climb up to the attic -
and they’ll come up through your floor.
So - run away run away run away run away run away run away run away from the people.
From the people with their pitch forks, and their flaming torches.
So - run away run away run away run away run away run away run away from the people.
From the people with their pitch forks, and their flaming torches.

They're coming, they'll find you
They'll chase you and batter down your door
You can lock all your windows
'Til you can't run anymore

Run, run, run
Here they come
You better run away
They’re coming for you
Run, run, run
Here they come
You better run away
They're coming, they're coming
... for you
